Arron Lowe

Last night, Arron Lowe became the latest evictee from the Big Brother house, and for me, his eviction means an end to the majority of the drama that’s making this year’s series such addictive watching…

So I’m definitely in the ‘sad’ camp.

And I’m worried that with some of the show’s biggest characters gone, and seemingly continuing to do so week on week, we’re going to end up with the dullest show in the world…

Do we really want to watch Becky and Deana sulking and/or crying – and when they’re not doing that, sitting around twiddling their hair – for the remaining weeks?

To be honest, my worst case scenario is that Becky, Deana, Scott and Caroline end up being the final four. But I guess as bad would be Ashleigh, Luke A, Lauren and Sara… Continue reading »

As I reported earlier, last night, Arron broke the Turf Wars task rules by leaping into the pool, which is now the territory of the Blue Team.

Big Brother ominously warned that his punishment would be revealed “in due course” and within minutes of the housemates waking, BB made that announcement…

BB announced that as a result of the rule break, not only had all the luxury shopping been removed from the kitchen, the Green Team have also lost control of the kitchen and bathroom.

Adding that both areas are now out of bounds to anybody, all the Green team turned on Arron, who protested that he thought his punishment would be no worse than the one handed to the Blue Team when they crossed territories, which was to wash up the Green Team’s dishes.

However, not prepared to hear his excuses, Becky called him a “total di**” and Adam, who’d thus far remained silent, mysteriously left the bedroom looking purposeful… Continue reading »

Yesterday was Day 31 in the Big Brother house, and with the Blue Team having only their camp site in the large task room and the sofas to call their own – and as they’re living on ‘survival rations’ – nerves are very much frayed…

However, the next challenge for the Turf Wars task was to see who won the rights to the garden and pool area, and bucking the trend of losing spectacularly, the Blue Team won, and therefore claimed the outside – including the pool and Jacuzzi – as their own.

The task, entitled Bail Out, saw a pair of housemates from each team having to board a boat that had two holes in the bottom which were stuff with bungs. When Big Brother gave the signal to begin, they had to pull out the bungs and start bailing.

The team whose boat tipped over or sank first lost access to the entire garden and as mentioned, the Green Team lost.

So now, they cannot cross the threshold that’s marked by a blue flag, but the white walkway that runs from the bathroom to the bedroom and the one into the large task room are neutral, so all housemates can use those areas to access areas they are permitted to enter… Continue reading »

In last night’s Big Brother highlights show on Channel 5, we saw that following the revelation that Arron, Becky, Deana and Conor face eviction this week, tensions were mounting…

A row that started over Arron telling Sara he intended to pour his cans of lager down the sink – which she and Scott took great objection to until Arron told Sara to “take ‘em and shut up” – ended up with something of a free for all in the living area.

Scott had repeated digs at Arron, and Arron warned “S**t’s about to get real real…” as Scott continued his onslaught and piggy in the middle Caroline burst into tears and wept on Luke S’ shoulder over the row. Click here to see a clip of the row.

When called to the Diary Room, Arron said, “I’m going to mentally push these people until they explode. I can’t wait to create mayhem.”

Back in the house, as tempers were still raised, Sara said of Arron, “I’m gonna punch him” and karate black belt Lauren said, “I’d like to get him in the ring and show him who’s boss…” Continue reading »

As we reported yesterday, which was Day 27, the housemates were set a challenge in the Task With No Name Task, which saw all the HMs conspiring to convince Shievonne – who wasn’t in on the truth about the task – that something dire awaited her in the task room…

The object of the task was to get Shievonne to refuse to carry out her task, and if she did, then the group would win a slap up meal. And sure enough, having filled Shievonne full of horror stories about their own tasks, refuse she did, and so the task was passed.

However, I think that by the time everyone else had trooped back into the main house in varying states of distress – Deana, covered in gloop and feathers, Arron pretending to collapse and assorted other amateur dramatics – Shievonne had twigged that it was a set up…

But that said, obviously given that she would also have realized that her guessing correctly would’ve incurred a fail, she went along with it and pretended to be super surprised when BB revealed that as she refused to take part – fearing clowns would await – the task was passed.

Last night, Deana and Arron (sort of) bonded over some water based fun – which isn’t bad going considering each is going to nominate the other today – but it all ended in tears when Lydia and Shievonne got caught up in the antics…

It all began when Deana confronted Arron over the great epilator and chocolate theft, and as their banter verged on tension, water began to fly. It all spilled over into the bedroom where both Lydia and Shievonne’s beds got soaked, which did not go down well.

Click here to see a clip of the water fight  and here to see the beginnings of the aftermath.

This morning, Arron says he “hates” Deana, and she branded him “a silly little boy”, but he had yet to face the wrath of Lydia!

At 10.15am, Shievonne warned that if housemates don’t start to have more respect for each other, the whole thing will result in a “free-for-all.”

Meanwhile, Deana told a few of her fellow housemates that Arron took things too far last night but she insisted she’s not angry, however, Lydia revealed that she’s annoyed Arron didn’t flip her mattress over having drenched it… Continue reading »

Last night’s BB highlights show was of course all about the nominations, and we have a list of who nominated who for you.

More on that in a moment, but first, the biggest character in last night’s Channel 5 highlights show was Arron, which frankly makes a nice change from it being all about Lydia!

However, when he first heard that he is to face eviction this week, he was oddly jubilant, telling Chris – who’s also up of course – “Yes! Y’know why? Because I think the public love you, and I could do with getting out of this place.

“Come and give me a hug, bro, we can do it!”

Personally, I think he was overjoyed because he thinks Chris will go and not him, however, he could well be counting his chickens there because as we saw later, his Mr Cool façade well and truly slipped…

Having made a point of saying he didn’t care who nominated him – Lydia, Chris, Deana, Adam, Lauren did by the way – he later had a drive-by dig at all the housemates saying loudly “You’d think people would just say ‘yeah I nominated you’ but no, not in this house. Backstabbers.” Continue reading »
