As fans of EastEnders will know, in last night’s trip to Walford, Ben Mitchell finally confessed, Monopoly-like to Shirley Carter – who was in full on You Won’t Like Me When I’m Angry mode – that he murdered Hev, with the photo frame, in the bedsit.

And in tonight’s episode, Ben’s dad Phil – who is of course now Shirley’s fiancé – will beg her not to go the police, pleading with her to consider what she’d have done if it had been one of her kids.

He tells her, “What if it was your Carly eh?” saying that he knows that she, like him, would do whatever it took to protect her kids.

But what will Shirley decide? Tune in to find out, but for now here’s a sneak peek look at tonight’s episode… Continue reading »

As fans of EastEnders will know, during this week of special episodes, Shirley Carter will find out that Ben Mitchell murdered her best mate Heather, and when she does, and then makes it public knowledge, Phil and Jay will be vilified for helping Ben cover up his heinous crime…

And of course, one of the most angry of the Square’s residents will be Andrew Cotton, who was engaged to Heather and was initially the prime suspect in her murder.

The shocking revelation is set to prompt Andrew to make “a big decision” about his future in Walford, especially as he struggles to believe that Shirley had no idea that Ben was the killer.

However, he finally does accept that she knew nothing, but by then, he’s made up his mind that he can’t stay on the Square, given it’s full of hurtful memories for him.

So we’ll see Andrew bidding a poignant farewell to the Square, which actor Ricky Grover filmed around six weeks ago.

Aww I’m going to miss Andrew! Will you? Continue reading »

Plus, Letitia Dean says filming in high def is “cruel”

We’ll begin today’s round up of EastEnders news with a sneak peek at tonight’s episode, which will see Lucy Beale going berserk when her dad Ian turns up at the café with Ben!

As fans of the show will know, since Tanya, Max and Alfie found Ian living rough and brought him back to Walford, he hasn’t said a word and apparently won’t bathe either, given that he’s still manky and still clinging on to that grim hat he’s been wearing.

So it’s probably little surprise that Lucy freaks out!

Plus, Sharon will have a romance with Jack Branning & Ian Beale freaks out when he sees a portrait of Heather and Shirley!

As fans of EastEnders will of course know, Letitia Dean is coming back to Walford and her role as Sharon Rickman. We’ll see her for the first time on August 13th when a distress call to her former lover Phil Mitchell sends him running off to her aid…

More on that in a moment, but first, the show’s producer, Lorraine Newman, has revealed that the show’s bosses have been trying to entice Letitia back for a year.

Speaking to the Daily Star, she said, “It took a year of negotiations and talks to get Letitia back on the show.

“In the end we convinced her and it’s great having her back.

“She’s got some big things coming up and we’re all very excited.

“Obviously we’ve got the return of Bianca and Carol and their brood to look forward to this autumn and with Sharon now in the mix we’re very happy.”

Letitia was of course in the very first episode of the soap back in 1985 as Dirty Den and his wife Angie’s adopted daughter Sharon Watts. She’s since left and returned to the show several times.

It’s also been revealed by the Star that Sharon will have a steamy romance with Walford bachelor Jack Branning, and that she’ll set up a friendship with Tanya Branning, although they’ll initially get off on the wrong foot… Continue reading »

Plus, Shirley finds out Ben’s a killer! See spoiler clip and the official trailer for Shane Richie’s new film, The Reverend!

As fans of EastEnders will doubtless know, Sharon is headed back to Walford after she calls in her old mucker Phil Mitchell to help her out of something of a tight spot…

Said tight spot being that on what should have been her wedding day, her fiancé has not only legged it, leaving her at the altar, but he’s also kidnapped her little boy!

Sharon’s son is of course the child she conceived with her non-blood related half brother Dennis Rickman, who was murdered by a hitman hired by gangster Johnny Allen.

He died not even knowing Sharon was pregnant. Awww.

However, the BBC have revealed that Sharon returns to the show during the week of August 13 which is also when Phil’s world begins to fall around his ears as his girlfriend Shirley uncovers the truth about who murdered poor Heather… Continue reading »

Plus, will Kat Moon meet her lover in his flat? And Perry Fenwick’s very real Billy Mitchell nightmare!

As we saw in last night’s episode of EastEnders, when Jay looked under Ben Mitchell’s bed – which is frankly extraordinarily brave; killer frame or no, a male teenager’s under bed area is a No Go zone for most normal people, or maybe that’s just mothers – and found THAT evidence, he was horrified that Ben has hung on to the grim reminder…

Or maybe ‘trophy’ is the right word! Mmmm, your liver and a nice bottle of Chianti… or words to that effect. *shudders.

But in tonight’s episode, we’ll see that the find has made Jay realize that nothing can ever be normal in the Mitchell’s lives ever again, and the only way that he can see to rid himself of the guilt over Heather’s murder is to turn Ben, her murderer, in to the police.

However, when Jay confronts Ben, the anxious killer says he’ll do the job himself and promises he’ll go to the police and confess to having killed Heather if only Jay will promise not to abandon him… Continue reading »

And Ray takes Kim paintballing!

The coming two weeks on EastEnders are truly dramatic ones, as not only do we see the start of the Whodunnit With Kat Moon plot, but also, Jay Mitchell is set to discover that Ben kept the photo frame that he used to murder Heather Trott, having sworn that he got rid of it…

And of course, what Jay wants to know – and can’t get his head around – is why on earth Ben would keep such a macabre ‘trophy’?

Also in upcoming episodes, Ray takes glamour puss Kim Fox paintballing, and inevitably, the consequences are hilarious.

We’ll start with Jay’s discovery of the photo frame – which Ben has had hidden under his bed since the murder – and his grim find comes about after he himself goes where few dare to venture (under a teenaged boy’s bed) to stash some money Phil’s given him.

And as he unwraps the blood stained tea towel – which worryingly enough, when Ben first used that tea towel to wrap the frame in, my main concern was that they’d never get the stains out – the memories of the night of Hev’s death come flooding back, as does Ben’s evidently fake assurance that he’d ditched the frame in the canal… Continue reading »

Plus Sue Johnston returns to Corrie set after mystery illness

There’s a good deal of death related soapy news today, beginning with the revelation that in tonight’s visit to Hollyoaks, bad lad Brendan Brady is set to discover that nurse Lynsey Nolan has been murdered!

The shocking twist was discovered when Hollyoaks First Look aired on E4 last night, but of course, who murdered Lynsey is now set to the focus of the upcoming episodes’ storylines.

In the frame is of course Brendan, who’s got murderous form, and ditto for serial killer Silas Blissett who’s about to pop up in the village yet again. And of course, Lynsey always knew Silas was a killer, so had he killed her by way of revenge?

Also a possible suspect is Mercedes who has of course gone right off the edge of late.

Of the gripping plot twist, a show insider told the Sun, “This has got to be soap’s best kept secret. No one even knew Karen [Hassan who plays Lynsey] was leaving.

“It will lead to a big whodunit plot.”

Who do you think killed her?! Continue reading »

Plus Natalie Cassidy says “It’s upsetting to suddenly find horrid pictures” of herself on the net & new spoilers!

It’s been reported today that Joshua Pascoe has in fact been axed from EastEnders and his role as murderer Ben Mitchell.

The news comes after it was revealed that Joshua was arrested last week on suspicion of being involved in a sexual assault. He was bailed and told to present himself to Scotland Yard at an unspecified date in June for further questioning.

However, a show insider has denied that the incident has anything to do with Joshua being fired from the show.

A BBC spokesperson told the Daily Star on Sunday, “It will come as no surprise to the viewers of EastEnders that the character of Ben will be departing Walford when the truth finally emerges.”

And a show insider added, “Joshua was always going to leave at the end of his current contract due to his storyline.

“There was no way Ben could stay on the Square long-term after killing Heather. But how it all comes out is a closely guarded secret…” Continue reading »
