This action-packed spin-off from the hit movie series charts the adventures of a half-human vampire hunter. In this instalment, Blade and Shen try to save two sisters from the clutches of a serial killer, Krista is forced to deal with bloodwithdrawal symptoms and Charlotte has a proposition for Chase. At a busy rock club, a man called Zed buys a girl a drink, surreptitiously slipping a pill into her cocktail. She wakes up to find herself chained to a pipe in an underground room. A video camera is trained on her, and televisions around the room feed back the footage. A sinister masked figure enters and rips her tongue out with a pair of rusty tweezers. Later, Nicki, a waitress at the club, is trying to locate Zed to settle a bar tab. She begins to snoop around the back rooms of the club and is ambushed by an unknown man. Suspecting foul play, Nicki’s sister Bethany (Lauren Lee Smith, ‘CSI’) goes to Shen for help. Upon examining a photograph of the missing girl, Shen and Blade recognise a vampire glyph on the hand of a man in the background. It is the symbol of the White Prince, a sadistic vampire serial killer who has been committing horrific acts of violence at various intervals since the 16th century. Although his face is obscured, it is clear that the tattooed man is the killer’s ‘familiar’ – a mortal that does a vampire’s bidding and procures his victims. The vampire hunters decide that the best way to flush out the Prince is to use Bethany as bait, although Shen has his reservations. “We’re using a desperate girl as a piece of cheese,” he says to Blade. Bethany and Shen go to the club to trick the familiar into taking them to the Prince. Initially thinking that Zed is the familiar, Shen is distracted and Bethany is abducted by the real perpetrator. Shen is then knocked out and taken to the Prince’s lair. Luckily, Blade has fitted the pair with tracking devices, and is not far behind them. Can Blade free the imprisoned sisters and Shen, and finally deliver justice to the White Prince and his familiar?

This action-packed spin-off from the hit movie series charts the adventures of a half-human vampire hunter. In this instalment, Marcus shares his own painful past with a grieving Krista, Damek pays Marcus a visit and Blade finds out about the liquid taken from Vanessa. Having isolated herself from both Marcus and Blade, Krista goes on a drinking binge in a dance club, where she is haunted by visions of her dead mother, uncle and brother. After stumbling out of the club, she is found by Chase and brought back to Chthon. Standing drunkenly before Marcus, Krista lashes out, blaming him for all she has lost since he turned her into a vampire. Marcus tells Krista that she must accept her fate – all vampires experience great pain and loss, but they also gain a new family in the vampire world. As Krista attacks him, Marcus angrily reminds her that she is not the only vampire to have felt such loss. During a scuffle, Marcus causes Krista to relive her after-death experience, and she becomes overwhelmed by Marcus’s memories of losing Isabelle and being turned into a vampire. The flashback begins in 1899 with a human Marcus presenting his beloved wife, Isabelle, with a shop he has bought for them in Detroit. As Marcus works hard to set up the store ready for opening, he is interrupted by three mobsters – among them Damek -who are running an extortion racket. The gangsters demand cash from Marcus, which he refuses to supply. When the men return, Damek reveals himself as a vampire by biting Isabelle. In a horrific scene, Damek feeds on Isabelle and molests her in front of a distraught Marcus. Damek then nails Marcus into a coffin and takes him to a group of vampiric Native Americans who turn him into a vampire and string him up in the sun. While Krista slips in and out of Marcus’s horrifying memories, she begins to feel sympathy for him.

This action-packed spin-off from the hit movie series charts the adventures of a half-human vampire hunter. In this instalment, Blade and Krista race to find Krista’s recently turned mother before it is too late. Meanwhile, Chase reconnects with an old flame who wants her to leave Marcus. After turning her terminally ill mother into a bloodsucker in order to end her suffering, halfvampire Krista loses track of the now extremely bloodthirsty Lisa Starr. Before Krista gets a chance to inject her mother with the serum she and Blade use to control their own instincts, an unknown vampire jumps into the room and embroils her in a battle to the death – or dusting. Krista emerges from the fight victorious, only to discover that her mother has escaped out of the window. To make matters worse, an FBI officer sees everything. “What are you?” cries the cop. Krista seeks help from Blade, who is not best pleased with her since discovering she has not only added to the vampire population, but has also raided his serum supply. The two head to the only place they think Lisa might have gone in her distress – Uncle Pat’s. Upon finding a badly injured Pat, Blade must take extreme measures to prevent another turning. Meanwhile, Lisa is apparently still on a ravenous rampage around the town. “The sun is coming up soon,” points out Blade. Suddenly, Krista recalls her mother having an ‘afterdeath’ (AD) experience just after becoming a vampire, which means she would have seen how Krista herself was turned – at the hands of Marcus Van Sciver of the House of Chthon. With this revelation, Blade and Krista rush to the Chthon headquarters, where Krista must hide from the FBI cop who saw her earlier. From the lobby, Krista watches Lisa being taken out of the building on a stretcher, and carried into a Chthon ambulance. After a messy end for the driver, Blade and Krista finally reach Lisa and get her home, where they will find out whether they caught her in time to repress her vampire instincts and thirst.

This action-packed spin-off from the hit movie series charts the adventures of a half-human vampire hunter. In this instalment, Blade must confront his past when an enemy starts killing off his old friends. Meanwhile, Krista contemplates the unthinkable as she nurses her ailing mother. It is night time at a deserted firing range. Ex-police officer Donnie Flannigan is shooting at a target when Steppin’ Razor (Bokeem Woodbine, ‘The Rock’, ‘Ray’), leaps out at him, pinning him to the floor. “It looks like your past is finally coming back to haunt you,” Razor says, before shooting Donnie with his own gun. Back at his lair, Blade pesters Shen and his scientific team to come up with conclusive results on the nature of the ooze Marcus is cultivating (see last week’s episode, ‘Delivery’). All they can determine is that it might be a virus capable of targeting a specific DNA sequence. Before the scientists can get further in their research, a report comes in detailing Donnie’s death. As Donnie is a figure from Blade’s murky past, the vampire-hunters conclude that the murder may be somehow related to Blade. It is revealed that Donnie was a young police officer assigned to Blade’s case in the 1970s. Shen and Blade infiltrate the crime scene to look at the body before the police can take it away. In Donnie’s mouth they find a chess piece, which Blade takes as a clue that another one of his old friends, his former chess teacher Mr Taka, is in grave danger. When Mr Taka is found dead at his home, Blade slowly figures out the clues left at the scene and realises that Steppin’ Razor is trying to murder the most important people in Blade’s past. In an attempt to halt Razor’s murderous rampage, Blade tracks the vampire down to an old derelict building, where the two fight to the death. How will Blade gain the upper hand against an enemy who knows many of his fighting tricks?

However, Vanessa, scared of where Blade is taking her, threatens to alert the train guard. “I’ll scream,” she threatens Blade. “I’ll stop you,” Blade calmly replies. “I’m not telling you anything then, you freak!” Vanessa says and starts screaming. To silence her, Blade knocks her out with a punch. Waking up later, Vanessa needs the toilet, and as Blade escorts her to the train’s facilities, they are set upon by two female vampire assassins. While Blade dispatches one with a silver garrotte, Vanessa stabs the other in the back with Blade’s special knife. “I think we need another route to Paris,” Vanessa pants. Meanwhile, Krista and Marcus are at an art gallery when Marcus learns of the Berlin explosion and Vanessa’s escape. They both rush to tend to the hideously burnt Chase, who has barely survived the explosion. Marcus orders Krista to go Europe and find the pair. “There is no discussion – just go,” he tells her.
