Celebrity Big Bother

Will Big Brother be back??

Speculation is mounting that Big Brother may in fact not be over as far as Channel 4’s concerned…

It seems that the Daily Star has managed to see planning permission documents for Borehamwood, the area where of course the BB compound was built, and they state that Channel 4 and Endemol intend to keep the buildings and grounds until 2013.

The paper states, “Planning documents submitted to Hertsmere Council, which covers Elstree Studios where the BB house stands, show bosses at TV company Endemol want to keep the house itself open until September 2013.”

And apparently, after discussions as to whether the compound was likely to cause any “problems” locally, the city councilors voted to allow it to remain.

But what is Endemol going to do with the house?

A BB spokesman is quoted in the paper as saying, “We are currently looking into a number of options for the site.”

We already know that there’s to be a – supposedly final – edition of Celebrity Big Brother in January, but as to what becomes of the house after that, nobody seems to know. Or if they do, they aren’t willing to say.

It has been rumoured of course that the show could be moving to Channel Five, and if so, they may well use the site in order to retain a sense of continuity.

More news on this as we get it!
