And Kelsey-Beth Crossley on reprising the role of Scarlett

In upcoming episodes of Emmerdale, Lisa Dingle goes against the wishes of her family and visits outcast Chas in prison…

The reason that she of course feels empathy for Chas while nobody else does – aside from murderer Cameron that is who could, if he confessed to killing Carl King, free Chas from prison – is that Chas has revealed that she hit Carl on the head fearing he was about to rape her.

And of course, Lisa was raped by evil co-worker Derek last year, so she understands why Chas behaved as she did.

But nonetheless, Lisa berates Chas for the way she’s betrayed Debbie, but it soon becomes clear that Chas is already punishing herself, even though she admits that she still loves Cam.

Here’s a clip of Lisa’s visit to the prison, which we’ll see in the episode that airs on Thursday… Continue reading »

She is of course being blackmailed by Carl King to the tune of £30k, and so far, with Cameron’s help, she’s only managed to raise £15,000.

It should have been a lot more, but when Chas persuaded Cameron to stage a phony break in at the pub – to steal £13,000 of the pub’s takings – her fiancé Dan thwarted the plan by hiding the wads of cash, assuming they’d been left in plain view as an oversight.

However, Cain – who is of course Chas’s brother and Debbie’s dad – smells a rat and, after confronting Chas about the robbery, tells her that he believes Cameron carried out the burglary…

So, desperate to stop Cain from stirring up yet more trouble which could end up with Debbie learning that her aunt and boyfriend had an affair, Chas tells Cain that she staged the break in… Continue reading »

We’ll begin today’s round up of news from the Dales with a spoiler clip from tonight’s show, in which Laurel finally shows poor Marlon a bit of support by turning up at court, where he is of course meeting with Paddy and Rhona in a bid to sort out custody of little Leo…

Laurel has been shying away from publicly supporting Marlon, because of course their romance is still a secret – only Paddy and Rhona know about it so far – because Laurel’s been waiting for “the right time” to break the news to her ex, Ashley, and her kids.

However, as mentioned, she will turn up at the court in tonight’s episode, but her presence doesn’t help to smooth things along at all… Continue reading »

There’s an awful lot of romance in the air in Yorkshire, what with Paddy and Rhona’s forthcoming marriage, Chas Dingle’s fledgling romance with Dan Spencer, and Moira Barton about to spend the night with farm hand Alex Cross!

However, while there’s new romances afoot, one somewhat older one looks set to be rekindled when, during next week’s episodes, Val and Eric Pollard grow close once again.

As fans of the show will surely recall, Val left Eric high and dry – and broke after clearing out their bank account – when she swanned off for months to visit her son Paul in Portugal.

While she was away, Eric began a romance with Brenda Walker, and when Val returned, fully expecting to return to her home and Eric’s bed, he quickly disabused her of that idea, and told a stunned Val that he and Brenda were together… Continue reading »

As we saw in last night’s episode, kind hearted Amy – and her caring foster parents Eric and Val – decided to offer Kerry a bed for the night when she was discharged from the hospital.

However, Kerry, never one to miss an opportunity to land on her feet, is in no hurry to move on, and reluctantly, Amy agrees to spend time with her mum and try to heal the rift between them.

But it’s not long before Kerry sets her sights on village bad lad Cain Dingle, who she spots in the pub. Her mum’s outrageous flirting infuriates Amy, who of course fell pregnant after a one night stand with Cain.

And as fans will recall, Amy had her baby boy alone and terrified in the church grounds before eventually reuniting with him briefly, only to then decide to give him up for adoption… Continue reading »
