coronation street spoilers 2012

It’s been revealed today that after Corrie BFFs Marcus Dent and Maria Connor end up sharing a night of passion together, Maria finds out she’s pregnant!

Which of course, is going to come as one hell of a shock for all concerned, not least Marcus, who is of course gay…

Or at least, he was…

In this week’s edition of Soaplife, Charlie Condou, who plays Marcus, has revealed that Marcus and Maria’s baby making night actually begins with a row.

He said that harsh words between them begin when Marcus accuses Maria of interfering in his love life after she gives some advice to his boyfriend Aiden.

He explained, “Marcus finds out Maria talked Aiden out of taking a job in London and gets really angry because he feels like she’s interfering.

“But I think his anger is also based on the fact that Marcus knows deep down that his relationship with Aiden is not right for him… Continue reading »

Plus Natalie Gumede says Kirsty Soames is “verging on evil”

We’ll begin today’s Corrie news round up with a report in the Sun today which says that the show’s bosses have vetoed any of its stars appearing on the BBC’s dance show, Strictly Come Dancing.

However, it seems that they’re quite happy for Corrie cast members to take part in ITV reality shows, such as I’m A Celebrity – which Antony Cotton took part in last year – and Dancing On Ice.

A Corrie source told the paper, “It’s a no-brainer for us. Why would we allow cast members time off to go to film a show for a rival channel?”

There were of course recent media rumours that Michelle Keegan, who plays Tina McIntyre, was a target for the new Strictly, but the source added, “The BBC’s offer never got off the ground — we wouldn’t release her from her contract.

“That goes for everyone else in the cast but we are more open when it comes to ITV shows.”

In other news, the Daily Mirror reports that the show’s new set – which is estimated to have cost around £30million to build –has been delayed by up to six months due to construction problems… Continue reading »

There’s a great deal of life or death drama headed our way on Coronation Street in upcoming episodes, when not only does Tommy Duckworth put his life at risk by falling asleep while driving, but jilted husband Dev Alahan will also attempt to commit suicide!

Starting with Tommy, the Sun’s TV Biz reports that his dramatic crash comes after he takes on another job delivering pizza in order to try to pay back the money he loaned from Tyrone Dobbs.

However, as he works all day at the garage, his night job proves too much and he falls asleep at the wheel of his delivery van.

Luckily he survives, but has this been literally the wake up call that Tommy needs to realize he can’t carry on like this?

Over to Dev’s drama now, and as fans of Corrie will know, his wife Sunita has not only ditched him, she’s also moved her fancy man Karl Munro into the couple’s house, which leaves Dev utterly devastated… Continue reading »

Plus Michelle Collins is excited to work with Sue Johnston, and spoiler alert as Ryan’s caught snorting cocaine!

We’ll begin today’s look at Corrie news with a claim by a former girlfriend of The Wanted singer Max George that while he and Michelle Keegan – who plays Tina McIntyre – were together, he bombarded her with sexy text messages.

It was revealed yesterday that Michelle dumped Max nearly two weeks ago after a picture of him kissing an unnamed blonde surfaced in the media.

Citing her reason for ending their relationship as spending too much time apart due to Max’s touring with his band, a friend of Michelle’s claimed, “She’s not very heartbroken” over the split since it had been on the cards for months.

However, in today’s Sunday Mirror, Max’s ex Bobbi Aney has confessed, “Phone sex was natural between us, I could literally get it at the click of a finger.”

Bobbi, who apparently dated Max for three years before he began seeing Michelle, added, “He said how much he loved my lips and kept saying how much he enjoyed sex with me…” Continue reading »

We’ll begin today’s round up of soap spoilers with Corrie, where singletons Maria Connor and Jason Grimshaw are about to reignite their former passion!

As fans of the show will remember, Maria and Jason dated a few years ago, but Jason moved on to a relationship with Rosie Webster, and Maria did likewise with Chris Gray.

But of course, as mentioned, they’re both now single, so when they have a night in at Maria’s flat, it doesn’t take long for things to revert to their former passion. But will that one night see them back on track or thinking it was a big mistake?

We’ll have to wait and see, but a Corrie insider told the Daily Star, “Jason’s been single since his former girlfriend Rosie Webster dumped him and moved to London.

“Maria is a good-looking girl so it was only a matter of time before he cracked on to her.

“They’ve lived in the same street for years and have both been around a bit.

“So with them now both single it wasn’t going to be long before they were paired up.

“Whether this kiss leads to anything more remains to be seen… Continue reading »

Plus, Ken Barlow’s former mistress Wendy Crozier headed back to the Street, and Chelsea Halfpenny on Amy’s fight scenes

We’ll start today’s look at soapy news with former EastEnders star Barbara Windsor, who reckons that if she ever went back to the soap – which she hasn’t ruled out – she’d expect the younger members of the cast to behave better than they apparently do now!

Branding the soap’s younger cast members as “undisciplined” and “mobile phone obsessed” Barbara told the Daily Mirror that the show’s bosses should discipline cast members who are late or distracted on set.

While discussing her return to the show in 2005, Barbara said, “Everybody was late or everybody was talking on their mobiles.

“I don’t like that but the governors are not so strict now. It’s a generational thing. It was difficult.

“It was not their fault as it starts at the top. If they are not taught it then it is not there.

“A lot of the young stars have not had to work their way up.

“If you are on EastEnders, you can go into Tesco and everybody knows you. I used to tell them off.”

Barbara also revealed that while she was still on the show, she fell out with Jessie Wallace, who of course plays Kat Moon, for her accusing her poor timekeeping… Continue reading »

Plus, see behind the scenes video of Kim and Ray’s EastEnders paintballing scenes, and Val faces the wrath of Jacob in Emmerdale!

We’ll begin today’s soapy news round up with the report in today’s Sun that Corrie cab driver Lloyd Mullaney is going to meet the daughter he didn’t know he had later this year!

However, it hasn’t been revealed who’s the mother of the girl, but we can rule out a surprise baby with Lloyd’s ex Cheryl because the paper adds that the show’s bosses are currently auditioning actresses for the role of mum and daughter.

Of the shock news of Lloyd being a daddy, a show insider said, “Lloyd hasn’t been in touch with this woman for a while, and then she waltzes in and announces that he has a daughter.

“The news will knock Lloyd for six. His reaction will be pretty explosive.”

And on the subject of things being explosive, we saw in last night’s EastEnders how Kim Fox managed to redeem some street cred by steering her team to victory in a paintballing session, having spent most of times screaming in fear of the paintballs… Continue reading »

Plus, Peter Barlow thinks Nick is “slimy” and never ever call Anne Kirkbride Deirdre!

It’s been reported today that in forthcoming Coronation Street storylines, Katie Armstrong is set to offer to have a baby for her disabled sister Izzy, who, as we saw in last night’s episode of Corrie, has just found out she’s pregnant…

So I guess it’s safe to assume that she’s going to lose the baby at some point, or end the pregnancy if tests show that the baby has inherited her disability, which is Ehlers-Danlos syndrome.

However, whatever the reason for the surrogacy suggestion, Izzy and Katie’s dad Owen is apparently going to strongly disapprove, and while the whole family attend little Joseph’s christening next month, he’ll deck Izzy’s boyfriend Gary Windass over the debacle!

I’ll bring you more spoilery news on that plotline as soon as I find out more about it… Continue reading »

In the episode of Corrie that airs a week on Wednesday, Eileen Grimshaw is going to find herself spang in the center of a war between former BFFS, Steve McDonald and Lloyd Mullaney after Lloyd opens up a rival cab firm.

As fans of the show will know, Eileen is now working for Steve on the set at Street Cars, but when Lloyd sets up his firm, he’s going to try to head hunt Eileen and have her work for him.

So, both Steve and Lloyd will attempt to sway Eileen by offering her more and more money to work for them, but who will she choose?

A Corrie insider told the Daily Star, “Lloyd was heartbroken when he left [Weatherfield] and didn’t want anything keeping him in Weatherfield so he sold off all his assets.

“Steve is over the moon to see his old mate back in town but the smile is soon wiped off his face when he realises he is going to be the competition… Continue reading »
