Coronation_StreetlogoTonight Virgin Media are planning to “delete” Coronation Street.

As part of a TiVo campaign, the opening credits of the soap will begin before the picture disappears and a voiceover tells viewers that the show has been accidentally deleted.

Soon afterwards the voiceover will let viewers know that TiVo has an “undelete” function that allows you to restore shows that have been deleted and Coronation Street will return to the screen.

“Our customers love how TiVo helps them watch their favourite telly and our incredible service has a whole host of impressive features that mean you never have to miss a moment – even if you accidentally delete it, TiVo can bring it back in a jiffy,” said Richard Larcombe, the director of advertising and sponsorship at Virgin Media.
