Dexter

Dexter has been given the green light for a sixth season by Showtime in the US.

The drama series will be renewed for another run next year after performing well in this year’s fifth season.

The tenth episode of this season drew the second biggest audience of the show’s history, proving that fans are still well and truly enamoured with the serial killer series.

Showtime’s President of Entertainment David Nevins said:  “To grow its audience so significantly in its fifth season is an enormous accomplishment by this amazing cast and crew. This is the easiest decision I’ve made since I got to Showtime.”
