ENTOURAGE2013The green light has been given for an Entourage movie.

Vinnie Chase and his crew are returning for a one-off outing on the big screen two years after the show wrapped its eighth and final season.

Warner Bros. has given the go-ahead for the movie, which will be directed and written by the series creator Doug Ellin and executive produced by Mark Wahlberg and Stephen Levinson.

Adrian Grenier, Kevin Connolly, Kevin Dillon, Jerry Ferrara and Jeremy Piven are all starting to negotiate deals to reprise their roles. Continue reading »

Celebrity Big Brother winner Rylan Clark is said to be looking into an autobiography deal.Literary agent Andrew Lownie said: “People like Rylan and are interested in him,” he explained. “They want to know more and there’s probably a lot about him that hasn’t speared yet. His advance could be anything from £5,000 to £500,000 – it depends on the story, the timing and who’s bidding.”

Jeremy Piven has hinted that he may do more work in the UK after his successful stint on Mr Selfridge.

The former Entourage actor, who plays the lead in ITV1’s new drama series, responded to a fan message on Twitter with a hint that he may not be done with the UK just yet.

A British Twitter fan said: “@jeremypiven stay with us here forever we’ll adopt you, America has had its fair share x”

Channel 5 close to nabbing Sheen for Celebrity Big Brother?

Charlie Sheen is reportedly close to signing a £6 million deal to appear on Celebrity Big Brother on Channel 5. The former Two and a Half Men actor is at the top of the network’s wish list for the series.

Downton Abbey could run for six seasons

Downton Abbey executive producer Gareth Neame believes the period drama could run for as many as six seasons. “I think it can continue for series four, five and six!” Neame said when discussing the eight-part second season. “It could move up to the 1930s, as long as the audience wants it.”

Entourage movie in the works

Entourage creator Doug Ellin has confirmed that a movie based on the series is in the works. Ellin told Entertainment Weekly: “We’re going to do a movie. We’re going to do it. It’s a question of when and how quick. We’ll sit down and come up with an idea.”

Reality TV killing scripted TV

Several TV showrunners in the US have spoken out about how reality TV is killing scripted TV. Everybody Loves Raymond creator Phil Rosenthal has blamed reality TV for diverting network recourses from scripted TV: “Sure they’re to blame because they’re cheap to do,” he said. “The glut of reality shows that we’re seeing could signal something larger than just a trend. And that is the end of civilization.”

Another promotional pic has been released for the new Two and a Half Men season featuring Ashton Kutcher. Deadline reports that no new theme tune has been recorded at this stage which may suggest Kutcher and co-stars Jon Cryer and Angus T. Jones will simply lip sync over the original tune.

Dannii Minogue is reportedly quitting the UK after struggling to find work here. The former X factor judge apparently wants to return to Australia to live and work.

The luxury Los Angeles mansion that serves as Vincent Chase’s (Adrian Grenier) home on TV series Entourage has been sold for $4.2m to a buyer believed to be an exec on the CSI series.

BBC Two to screen Pan Am

BBC Two has picked up new US series Pan Am that featured Christina Ricci. The series centres on the employees of the Pam Am airline in the 1960s.

UK viewers will get to see the finale of Entourage only one day after its screens in the US on HBO.

Sky Atlantic will air the final ever episode of the comedy/drama less than 24 hours after it goes to air in the US on cable channel HBO.

The eighth season will kick off with Vince (Adrian Grenier) at a low point in his career after being found in possession of cocaine by the cops at the conclusion to the seventh season.

The final season begins on Monday, July 24 at 10.30pm on Sky Atlantic.

Liz Locke has been eliminated from The Apprentice in what was a shock end to the latest episode of the BBC One show. Locke, who has been a frontrunner throughout the show so far, was blamed for the loss of Team Apollo and sent home ahead of Stuart Baggs.

Voting stats have been released by ITV showing who the audience backed on the latest season of I’m A Celebrity which was won by Stacey Solomon. The figures prove that the former X Factor finalist was the hot favourite right throughout the competition, polling well right from the start.

Fans injured at One Direction’s Wolverhampton show

A number of fans have been injured at One Direction’s homecoming show in Wolverhampton this week. Up to 35 fans were treated for various injuries as around 4,000 people gathered for the X Factor act’s show in their hometown to celebrate the final week of the reality show.

Entourage movie in the works?

Entourage executive producer Mark Wahlberg has said that he is still holding out for a movie based on the drama/comedy series. Wahlberg says that the cast and crew are all keen to get the ball rolling, saying: “We have one season left on TV and then it would probably take place after the finale.”

Freeman passes on the Hobbit

Due to his commitment to a BBC television show, actor Martin Freeman has reportedly has to turn down a seven-figure offer to play Bilbo Baggins in Peter Jackson’s The Hobbit. The former Office actor is committed to the second season of BBC’s Sherlock which films at the same time.

Pattinson to guest on Entourage?

Reports are suggesting that Twilight actor Robert Pattinson will be making an appearance in the season finale of Entourage, playing himself in a role which will supposedly see him be a huge annoyance to his agent Ari (Jeremy Piven).

Stephen Fry has come out saying that a culture of fear is making the BBC’s programming bland. The comedian says that executives at the state broadcaster are afraid to take creative risks and that alot of the adventure and excitement has gone out of television in this country.

New ITV drama opens to 5.2m

ITV’s new drama series Bouquet of Barbed Wire has opened to an audience of a little over 5.2 million on Monday night. The debut episode, which is the first of three episodes, just outperformed BBC One’s Who Do You Think You Are in the 9pm hour.

The One Show returns to 4.54m

Revamped The One Show returned to BBC One with an opening audience of 4.54 million on Monday night. The nightly show, hosted by newcomers Alex Jones and Jason Manford, pulled a 23.6% audience share from 7pm.

Westwood approached for Dancing On Ice

Radio 1 DJ Tim Westwood has announced via Twitter that Dancing On Ice has offered him £50,000 to appear on the BBC One show. Westwood did not confirm whether or not he will look to accept the offer.

The second wave of presenters for the upcoming Emmy Awards have been announced with 30 Rock’s Tina Fey, Edie Falco, Wil Arnett, Laurence Fishburne and Stephen Colbert joining yesterday’s lineup.

Tim Gunn to guest on Gossip Girl

Project Runway mentor Tim Gunn will make a guest appearance on the latest season of Gossip Girl, playing himself. Gunn is no stranger to the guest appearance on scripted shows, popping up on the likes of Ugly Betty and How I Met Your Mother.

Grenier to feature on 90210

Entourage actor Adrian Grenier will appear in an episode of teen drama 90210 later this year. The actor will feature on the show with his band The Honey Brothers as they play at an 18th birthday party.

HBO has officially announced that the end of Entourage is near.

The series, which follows actor Vincent Chase (Adrian Grenier) and his crew around LA, will come to a finish mid-way through next year.

A shortened final season run has been ordered by HBO which could be as little as six episodes which will take place after the current seventh season.

“Next summer will definitely be the final season,” HBO programming president Michael Lombardo confirmed over the weekend.

There were hints towards the possibility of series creator Doug Ellin writing an Entourage film but due to Ellin’s commitment to other projects he is pitching to the network this may be sidelined.
