Fox News

Before I even start, I should probably say this: The views contained in this article are the writer’s not not that of Throng.

Okay, on with the ranting and near-slander.

Mental political dipstick, Sarah Palin, has signed up for a gig with insane right wing bile-factory, Fox News.

Yep. This is a perfect dovetailing that sees two seperate not-rights teaming up to make the most hideous and downright frightening pairing since Peter Andre and Jordan knocked uglies.

Sarah Palin is to star as a political commentator for Rupert Murdoch’s Fox News channel.

In a way, Sarah Palin is an inspirational figure. She’s living proof that you can have no discernible talent and still get within touching distance of the most powerful job in the whole of the known universe. Maybe that’s why White America loves her so much. She’s the living embodiment of the American Dream – you really can be anything you want to be, regardless of a complete absence of skill or common sense.

Fox have confirmed that they’ve taken Palin on board as a pundit to appear on several of the cable news channel’s shows.

It’s not really surprising that Palin has found a friend in Fox. While all the other networks tore strips off her (I’m looking at you CBS and Katie Couric), Fox was ever so nice to her. The monumental lunacy of Bill O’Reilly fought her corner.

Naturally, now that certain bits of America are trembling at the thought of Obama turning the country into a commie-state, complete with ‘death panels’, gays and stem-cell research, Palin and Fox have huddled together even closer, giving those wide-eyed nutters who support them a deeper affinity for the right.

Under the deal, Palin will also host her own occasional Fox programme examining “inspirational tales involving ordinary Americans”.

Apart from Barack Obama presumably. Or anyone who picketed for free treatment for rape victims. Or anyone with any knowledge of countries outside of the United States of America.

Palin, blissfully unaware of any irony said: “It’s wonderful to be part of a place that so values fair and balanced news.”

These shows could well be worth tuning in for… if you’re the kind of person who likes poking at an open sore with the nail clippers and shouting “HEAL! HEAL QUICKER YOU IDIOT!” Fox News – for the masochist in you.
