Hell’s Kitchen

Monday, 13 April 2009, 9:00PM on ITV1

Marco Pierre White is back in the kitchen as a group of unsuspecting celebrities prepare to face a journey into hell as they attempt to feed a restaurant packed full of discerning diners each night.

The celebrities will leave their star status firmly at the kitchen door as Marco puts them to the ultimate test. They will learn how to cook a menu of classic dishes inspired by food Marco likes to eat and will have to live up to his exacting standards.

Claudia Winkleman will host the live show nightly from the Hell’s Kitchen restaurant in East London when it returns for its fourth series.

Marco, dubbed the godfather of British cuisine, will attempt to work his magic on the rookie chefs as they have just two weeks to learn how to dish up a feast fit for showbiz royalty.

He will push them to their limits to achieve perfection and crank up the heat to ensure every diner is fed.

Hell’s Kitchen is an ITV Studios production. It was commissioned by ITV’s Controller of Alternative Programmes Layla Smith. The Executive Producers are Natalka Znak and Beth Hart.

TV’s hit celebrity chef Gordan Ramsay is going to be earning him 1 million US Dollars for each three weeks of televising his hit UK show for the American market. The show will last five years in the US and basically gives the flaming chef the opportunity to retire at the ripe tomato age of 55.

A reported final episode in the American series will have the brave and foul-mouthed chef filming an “F-Word” version of the show featuring him tasting the delicacies of several breeds of animal penis – are viewers the world over ready for it? Can this hellish chef handle the sauce?

Hell’s Kitchen is set to come back on tv, with Britain’s Rock Star Chef Marco Pierre White going back to the kitchen for the first time in seven years – to take over TV’s greatest restaurant and turn your favourite celebs into culinary masterminds.

Marco Pierre White was the first ever British chef to achieve the Michelin three-star rating, but he gave them back, refusing the accolades in a move reminiscent of John Lennon or Mick Jagger.
