In Tuesday’s show, ‘Under the Surface’, Sun creates a big bug world and Charli performs a bug jive around the garden.

In ‘How Does it Work’ on Wednesday, the guys have a go at communicating with drums.

On Thursday, in ‘Ways to Get Around’, Sun goes on a snowboarding adventure, Charli pretends to be a husky dog pulling a sleigh, and Tim is a farmer on a tractor.

‘Adventure’ on Wednesday sees Nathan go travelling around Australia.

In Tuesday’s show, ‘Ways of Saying’, Nathan the Weather Man forecasts the Hi-5 weather using symbols on a chart. Tim uses his collection of musical instruments to make sporting sounds.

Wednesday’s show is ‘Technology’. Nathan receives mysterious shape messages on his laptop computer and works out what they mean.

On Thursday, ‘Animals’ sees Charli practise yoga and do a banana dance, while Sun pretends to be a big gorilla.

Rounding off the week’s episodes is ‘The Arts’ on Friday. Charli creates two sculptures from clay, and Tim discovers that his easel can play music.

This week’s theme is ‘Happy and Healthy’, while the song is ‘I’m So Healthy’. Today’s episode, ‘Food’, sees Chat create a health drink and a jingle to accompany it.

In Tuesday’s show, ‘Move your Body’, Nathan builds his own gym, while Charli pretends to be a weightlifter using a broom as a dumbbell.

Wednesday’s show is ‘Routines’. Nathan explores shape recognition and spatial awareness as he hosts a special game show.

On Thursday, ‘What Makes me Happy’ sees Chats invent a Happiness Machine, while Charli performs a fun finger action song.

Rounding off the week’s episodes is ‘Community Carers’ on Friday. Sun explores concepts of size, shape and length when she checks teeth at the animal dental surgery.

Australian children’s entertainers Hi-5 return to Five for an incredible ninth series. The hugely popular fivesome – Nathan, Kathleen, Tim, Charliand Kellie, along with their puppet sidekicks Jup Jup and Chatterbox – appeal to a wide group of young kids, as they make learning fun through music, movement and laughter.

The highly successful Hi-5 troupe has been entertaining children since 1999 and their series have been broadcast in dozens of countries around the world. As well as their hit TV series, theHi-5 guys have performed on successful tours and released numerous albums.

Each Hi-5 episode is based around a simple theme which is explored through segments, eachone relating to a different area of learning. Nathan’s area of expertise is shapes and patterns; Kathleen is concerned with numbers, puzzles andproblem-solving; Tim presents a segment on making music; Kellie is interested in word play; and Charli focuses on movement and coordination skills.

As well as the individual episodetheme, there is a song and a word for the week. This week’s theme and song is ‘Around the World’, while the word for the week is ‘jet’.

Today’s episode is based around babies, as Kathleen announces her pregnancy and the gang come up with a song for the new arrival.

Birthdays and parties is the theme for Tuesday as Chats tries to send a Happy Birthday message to babies around the world and the group plan a baby shower for Kathleen.

Wednesday’s show is all about the first day of school. Nathan makes a German ‘schultute’ –or school cone –for a friend’s first day of school and fills it with treats.

The concept of ‘meals’ is the focus for Thursday, when the team brush up on their cooking skills.

And Friday’s instalment deals with animals and the environment, as the gang pretend to be different animals.
