Inside Sport

The BBC’s flagship sports news programme Inside Sport returns on Monday 3 September on BBC One with a 14-week second series.

Gabby Logan will present the 40-minute programme and conduct each week’s “big interview” with a well known sports personality.

She will be joined by Steve Bunce, Tony Livesey and Des Kelly who will deliver reports, as well as take part in live studio panel debates on the hot topics of the sporting week.

Recorded features will be provided by roving reporters Matt Pinsent and James Pearce, with Mihir Bose on hand to provide regular sports news stories.

Inside Sport will not be confined to any one sport but will go wherever the sports news stories are.

The expert team will seek to delve behind the main headlines and get to know what makes some of the greatest names in sport really tick.

With access to some of the industry’s most well known figures, Gabby will spend quality time with sports personalities as they go about their daily lives.

John Terry, Andy Murray, Kevin Pietersen, Ricky Hatton, Shirley Robertson, Sven-Goran Eriksson and Graham Poll were all interviewed during the first series.

A re-versioned episode of Inside Sport will also be broadcast each week on the BBC’s commercially-funded international news and information television channel BBC World.

BBC Sport’s new programme, Inside Sport, will be aired for the first time on Monday 30 April, 11.05pm on BBC One, presented by Gabby Logan.

The first run will be on air from 30 April–10 June 2007.

Each week, Inside Sport will aim to get behind the main sporting headlines with access to, and interviews with, big sporting stars.

In addition, the programme will feature stories that reflect the big issues and personalities in sport.

Gabby and her guest panellists, including Steve Bunce, Tony Livesey and Des Kelly, will then debate the key talking points on the sporting agenda.

A second edition of the programme will be broadcast on BBC Two on each of the following Sunday mornings.

The Sunday morning show will be presented live and will feature a longer version of the Monday night big interview, a newspaper review with the panelists, a feature re-run and any additional talking points from the week’s sport.

There will also be visits to BBC Sport’s Outside Broadcasts that are up for the afternoon’s coverage.

Inside Sport will return to the screen on Monday 3 September 2007 to Monday 3 December 2007 and then again on Monday 23 February 2008 to Monday 22 June 2008.
