It’s Not Easy Being Green

BBCi viewers will be able to gauge their green credentials in a quiz accompanying It’s Not Easy Being Green on 20 June on BBC Two.

Viewers can play the 12-minute quiz by pressing red at the end of the programme at 9pm. They will be tested on three key areas of sustainable living: Food, Energy and Waste.

The questions demonstrate how simple lifestyle choices can affect the environment, and personalised feedback gives relevant tips on how to reduce that impact.

Developed in co-operation with the Centre for Alternative Technology, the quiz scores are weighted to represent the environmental benefits of actions like growing your own vegetables or using public transport.

The programme makers animate footage of presenters Dick and James Strawbridge, making the subject a humorous and informative experience for the viewer. The bespoke designs convey a sense of repurposing and reuse, reflecting issues of sustainable living.

The one-hour special, It’s Not Easy being Green airs on Wednesday 20 June at 8pm on BBC Two.

The interactive quiz is available on Digital Satellite and DTT (Freeview).
