Ireland’s twin phenomenon Jedward are moving out of home for the first time into a swanky apartment in an exclusive part of Dublin.

Brand new series Jedward: Let Loose has exclusive access all areas following the boys as they attempt to set up home and live on their own. We see them playing pranks on each other, shopping in Ikea, hosting a party, speed dating, disagreeing with each other and trying to cope with having separate bedrooms.

In this second show Jedward have just flown in from the UK after performing a sell-out gig. They have been living on their own for two days but have only just realised they need to buy some essentials. With a budget of 250 euros they take a trip to Ikea, and as they race around the store with John pushing Edward in a trolley, they are more interested in buying fairy lights and pet accessories than buying furniture for their new pad. When they get to the check out they have gone way over budget and have to put back half the items they put in their trolley.

It’s an important summer for Jedward as they launch their new album and the next few weeks are crucial for the boys. They are shooting a video for their second single, but not all is going to plan and the shoot gets off to a shaky start. John is not happy and for once the twins are struggling to agree on creative matters. After a heart to heart on set they put their differences to one side and it’s back to business.

It’s the second morning in their new apartment and Edward gives his brother a rude awakening by throwing cold water over his head. The boys have been sleeping in separate bedrooms for the first time ever but they have missed each other and John drags Edward’s mattress into his room.

Later the boys prepare an intimate dinner party for some old school friends. The menu consists of nachos, marshmallows and chocolate sushi and accident prone John manages to break the glass table in the flat. They order in pizza and there is some left over so John takes it down to the fans who are waiting outside the apartment. While he is down there, Edward throws John’s underpants off the balcony for their fans to catch.

The next day the boys face the challenge of speed dating and neither of the twins have ever had a date before in their life. They each have a three minute date with twelve girls, but which lucky ladies will the boys choose to go on a date with?

At the end of a very long but fun day, the boys head straight to bed, but John hasn’t forgotten Edward throwing water over his head earlier and plants a pizza right into his brother’s sleepy face to get his own back.

Ireland’s twin phenomenon Jedward are moving out of home for the first time into a swanky apartment in an exclusive part of Dublin.

Brand new series Jedward: Let Loose has exclusive access to their experimental attempt to cut the apron strings and go it alone. Viewers will see the boys attempting to live in separate bedrooms for the first time in their lives, having shared a room their entire lives.

The series introduces Jedward’s family and gets the inside track on the hype and hysteria surrounding the nation’s favourite twins. The series will also follow them as they prepare for the launch of their new album, perform onstage, and deal with their fame whilst trying to adapt to their new surroundings and independence. We will also take a look back at their success on The X Factor, what happened when Edward collapsed in agony, the boys designing their own trainers for a sports label and we go behind the scenes on set with Jedward for one of their music videos.

Jedward said: “We are so excited that we have our own show. People find it hard to define us and hopefully the show will give viewers and our fans an insight into our world during a really exciting point in our lives launching our debut album.”

The boys will have to cook, clean and fend for themselves, a tall order when they are used to relying on mum to sort out all their domestic chores.

On arrival at the penthouse apartment the boys are bowled over by its size and décor. However, their excitement soon turns to shock when they realise they have no running water. They run around the apartment turning on all of the taps but there’s no water.

Eventually they discover the instructions and manage to switch the water on. Their relief is short lived when they walk into their jacuzzi bathroom and discover they have flooded it, after only being in the apartment for less than an hour. By the time they have cleared up the mess it is getting very late and they’ve no food in the house. They order a sushi takeaway and take over half an hour deciding what they want. At the end John is not sure the woman on the other end of the phone understood a word he said.

It’s the first morning in their new apartment, and the twins have a major gig to promote their debut album. It is Edward’s first performance since badly injuring his knee during a live gig a few days ago. But things are not looking good. Edward’s knee is swollen and painful. The boys have to take a trip to the doctor’s to see if Edward is fit to perform. Depending on his verdict their whole tour and future could be thrown into jeopardy.

Jedward answer a few questions ahead of the launch of their new reality series Jedward: Let Loose.

The Irish pair discuss life away from home and living together in a swanky new apartment in Dublin.

Were you excited to be moving out of home and into your own apartment for a week?

“Yes we were really excited about moving out of our home because we had no bedtime curfew. And we could get a pet monkey.”

Do you do any cooking at home with your mum?  If so, what do you cook?

“Me and John are the worst cooks in the world. Our best cooking is toast and cereal.”

When you moved out of home what was the one thing you were looking forward to the most?

“The thing we were looking forward to most was having a swimming pool in our apartment, but we never got one.”

At home you share a room and in the flat there are two rooms, how do you feel about having your own room for the first time?  Or will you try and stay together in the same room?

“I think me and John as we are brothers have that bond that no one can separate us. We don’t like being in separate rooms as we have no one to talk to, and wake up if we have nightmares.”

Did you stamp your mark on the flat and put up any posters etc?

“We decided to make our own posters, we have a tour coming up so we decided to make a poster for it and decorate the apartment with them.”

Fans soon found out where you lived, did any try and sneak into the apartment?

“Yes fans found out where we lived after just a few days, and they were waiting outside the apartment all day. We bought them pizza and food and they snuck up to our door one night and put stickers on it.”

What did you miss most from home?

“We missed our pets, and doing normal things like looking through our CD collection in our room. We missed our mum and dad but they came to visit us one night.”

What did you enjoy the most about living away from home?

“That we could do whatever we wanted, anytime we wanted. It was all our rules, and we had a lot of fun.”

Edward, you recently hurt your leg, had this meant you’ve been able to get out of doing the chores around the house?

“Yes John had to do all the work for me. I actually was able to do most things but I decided to use it to my advantage and make other people do the work for me.”

Which one of you is the messiest?

“Edward is definitely the messiest. He always throws his clothes everywhere and loses things. I’m way more organised than him.”

Are you both romantic?  What would be your perfect date?

“It wouldn’t be stereotypical. It would be something completely different and something fun, but we haven’t thought of what it would be.”
