Kerry Katona: The Next Chapter

She may have come second in Channel 5′s Celebrity Big Brother but that hasn’t stopped Kerry Katona’s reality show from being cancelled.

The 30 year-old received the news that ITV had cancelled Kerry Katona: The Next Chapter on the same day she was granted a divorce from her second husband Mark Croft.  Since then, despite her popularity on CBB, the project has been axed by ITV.

A spokesman for ITV said, “We have enjoyed working with Kerry on two successful series of The Next Chapter, but we do not have any further episodes planned.”

Meanwhile, Katona’s publicist Max Clifford said, “It is a shame as Kerry wants to be on TV, and after her success on Big Brother people obviously want to see her. But with the ITV deal she was caught up in something that was beyond her control.”

What will Kerry do next?

The Sun today reports that reality TV star Kerry Katona has denied that she’s trying to get back with former boyfriend Dan Foden.

Here’s the article…

KERRY Katona has hit out at her ex Dan Foden — denying his claims that she has been trying to win him back.

The former Take Me Out contestant, 27, has said she was a “nightmare” when they dated in the spring and claims he is sick of her efforts to get them back together.

But Kerry, 30, hit back in her OK! magazine column today, saying: “Dan, considering you don’t like the limelight, you’re not doing a bad job of milking your five minutes of fame for the six weeks we were together.

“As for me wanting you back, well if by me returning your phone calls and texts indicates I want you back, then you’re very much mistaken – once bitten, twice shy.

“I felt sorry for you after selling the first story as I thought you panicked about all the attention, which is why I remained a mate. For your information Daniel, I will not be returning your texts or phone calls from now on.

“I will not be returning your phone calls for your own sake. If you don’t understand the meaning of being a good friend with banter, then I think we’re better off not speaking.

“I also hope very much that the text messages you’ve been sending me go down very well with your new girlfriend. Get over yourself, if you hate the limelight so much, go back under the rock you climbed out from.

“Don’t contact me any more for your own sake Daniel Foden, get over yourself, you’re not all that!”

And the mum-of-four insisted they were “hardly madly in love”, pointing out that they were only together for a month and a half.

She joked: “I’ve had trips to the toilet that lasted longer than him.”

Fresh from picking up a new skill in Dancing On Ice, Kerry Katona is set to return to an old one just as her new show premieres its next series tonight on ITV2.

Despite admitting she can’t “sing to save my life” and left her old band Atomic Kitten just before they reached number 1 and achieved most of their success, Katona is returning to music as a soloist.

She said of her new project, “I’ve been offered a few music things that I can’t go into detail about.  But something will be happening. It will be me solo which I’m quite nervous about because it has been ten years.  I’m just going to give it a go. I’m really excited because I miss performing.  People forget I was known for being a singer and that’s how I started my career off – though it’s probably what’s going to end it!”

She added that she has been rehearsing by. “singing in the car with the kids,” and adding that they’re “like the von Trapp family from the Sound of Music.”

Katona also added she has acting ambitions and would love to appear in a series such as Shameless or Benidorm.  For the meantime, she’ll have to be content on her new reality show, Kerry Katona: The Next Chapter which returns for a new series on ITV2 tonight at 9pm.
