We’ll start today’s soapy news round up with the news that when Corrie star Kym Marsh weds her fiancé Jamie Lomas this weekend, she “might let him off the leash” long enough to catch his favourite football team playing.

According to the Mirror, a friend of the couple said that there’s “no way” Manchester United-mad Jamie would miss the Southampton game on TV.

The source said, “It has to be a few beers with the game. Kym understands it and she’s also a big fan.

“But will she accept him sloping off? I think she’ll let him off the leash for a while.”

Kym and Jamie are tying the knot at the luxury Nunsmere Hall Hotel in the Cheshire countryside.

Cameras are banned from the ceremony in order to protect the magazine deal that the couple have struck with a magazine, which is thought to be worth six figures… Continue reading »

We’ll begin today’s Corrie news round up with a report in the Daily Star that when Sue Johnston’s character Gloria – who is of course Stella Price’s mum – arrives on the Street, she’s set to become Weatherfield’s new battleaxe who takes no prisoners!

And within days of arriving, she bars Norris Cole and Mary Taylor from the Rovers, telling him, “Go on, get out. And tell Mary Quite Contrary she’s barred an’ all.”

Her angry response comes when Norris brands her “loud and vulgar”, but of course, her daughter Stella isn’t impressed with her mum for barring two of her regulars!

Gloria will also “have a go” at Dennis Tanner, claiming that he’s flirting with her, and she also infuriates Owen Armstrong by saying he must be a cowboy builder.

The paper adds, “And she clashes with the bar staff as she continually tries to tell them how to do their jobs.”

We’ll meet Gloria within the next couple of weeks… Continue reading »

He of course sustains the injuries when his fiancé Kirsty Soames yet again attacks him, and up until now, he’s kept it a secret that he’s the victim of domestic violence, but of course, Tina’s not stupid and she realises exactly what’s going on.

However, as she’s talking to Tyrone about his bruises, they’re interrupted by Kirsty, so she has to leave the issue until she can get him on his own again.

Kym also revealed that the ‘troll’ had taken pictures from 14 year old Emily’s real Facebook page, and used them on the fake page.

After being altered to the page by a friend, Michelle tweeted, “Help get this weirdo off Facebook! Could be dangerous.

“They are stealing pics from her actual Facebook. I’m gonna give it to the police.”

And talking of police, Kym’s character Michelle can expect to have more than a few encounters with the law courtesy of her son Ryan when he returns to Weatherfield next week.

Played by Sol Heras, Ryan’s return to the Street is set to cause chaos as it’s revealed that he’s “heavily involved” with drugs, and not only that, he’s set to get Sophie Webster hooked too!

We’ll see Karl hiding behind the counter as Sunita tries to explain why she’s locked herself inside the shop.

A Coronation Street insider told the Daily Star Sunday, “Everyone really got into the spirit of the big day.

“They all had great fun dressing up and viewers can expect a lot of laughs and drama.
