Cheryl after One Direction?

X Factor judge Cheryl Cole wants to tempt One Direction away from Simon Cowell after spotting their long term potential. The show’s vocal coach Yvie Burnett has revealed to Buzz that two-time winner Cheryl has considered prising the boy band from their mentor. “Louis and Niall from the band were sort-of chatting Cheryl up the other night, and she started teasing them, asking if they would like her as a mentor instead of Simon.” “She understands best why they would be attractive to teenage girls, and is always flirting with them because she sees what the young girls see in them.”

X Factor’s vocal coach slams Wagner

Buzz asked Yvie Burnett, X Factor’s vocal coach, what she thought of Wagner: “Hmm. I always thought at some point he’d have to take things seriously. It’s a singing competition, it’s more than just standing there being a spectacle. He sings off-key and out of time. Singing-wise, it’s important that everyone raises their game.”

Mad Men modelling?

Good news for Mad Men fans about to suffer withdrawal symptoms as the curtain comes down on series four – we might be seeing Christina Hendricks aka Joan Harris- as a judge on America’s Next Top Model. When Buzz spoke exclusively to ANTM catwalk coach J Alexander –aka Miss J- the runway diva revealed that he and head judge Tyra Banks are keen to get hour-glass actress Christina to guest judge on a special plus-size series of the modelling show. “We would love to have Christina on if we do the special,” says Miss J. “Even if it’s a short cycle, she’s a great role model for women. She really embraces her body.”

Good news for Mad Men fans, the BBC has brought forward the screening of the show’s fourth season to next month.

The BBC has reached a deal with American network AMC over the drama series allowing them to bring its air date forward by four months.

In the past, Mad Men has screened six months after being first broadcast in the US but due to increasing popularity, BBC Four has pushed to bring it forward for UK viewers.

The move is also an attempt to reduce the amount of illegal downloading which still plagues popular TV shows.

Mad Men actress Alison Brie has confirmed she is returning to the drama series for the next season.

The actress, who plays Pete Campbell’s wife Trudy, will feature in the fourth season of the show after taking time out to work on other projects.

Brie admits it was difficult to return to the role after so long away: “To go back to Mad Men this summer after eight months of constant work on Community playing just about the opposite character was really daunting,” Brie told Entertainment Weekly.

“I was very nervous I’d forgotten how to be Trudy. But then you put on the clothes and get the hair done and it is like you never left. Welcome back to the ’60s. Without prodding, I’m like, ‘The pot roast is ready!'”
