Man Woman Wild

Mykel Hawke is a former Special Forces survival expert.  His wife Ruth England is a British TV journalist. In Discovery Channel’s new series this husband and wife duo take on some of the most forbidding and remote environments around the world.

The couple are dropped into each location with only a knife and the clothes on their backs and must work as a team to survive for four days and nights.  With over 20 years of combined military and survival experience, Mykel has made a career of doing the unthinkable; from fighting rebels and training UN peacekeepers in war-torn Africa to running a war clinic on the front lines. Holding a degree in documentary filmmaking and photography, Ruth has made her living from travelling internationally to record wild adventures, natural phenomena, tribal societies and exotic wildlife.

As Mykel and Ruth test their will, and their marriage, can the two of them find common ground standing up to nature as husband and wife in the wildest places on earth?

Man, Woman, Wild sees Mykel and Ruth shipwrecked on the remote coastline of Tasmania, have to battle hypothermia, dehydration and hunger; find themselves at the bottom of the food chain when their safari vehicle breaks down in Botswana; get blown off course into gator country whilst sky diving; and when their snowmobile breaks down in the remote wilderness of Alaska, they find out why the thaw of spring is more lethal than the dead of winter.
