As fans of EastEnders will know, Kat Moon is about to embark on an affair, but the identity of who she’ll have the affair with is being kept a closely guarded secret…

However, we do know it will be with one of five suspects. They are Ray Dixon, Michael Moon or one of the three Branning brothers, Derek, Jack or Max.

Plus, see video spoilers and schedule changes for this week and next

It’s been three long months since Jessie Wallace last appeared on our screens in the role of Kat Moon, and I’ve missed her!

Not in a lesbian kinda way – although, I guess I do have a bit of a girl crush on her – but in a I’ve Missed A Strong Walford Woman kind of a way.

But this week, Thursday to be precise, she’s back, and one of her first tasks, aside from tending to poor Jean – more about that in a mo – is to warn Roxy Mitchell in no uncertain terms that she needs to adopt a hands-off approach to Alfie, or get said hands ripped off.

Of returning to the set of the show, Jessie told the Daily Mirror, “I’ve really missed it and it’s great to be back. It’s like going back to my family. It’s fantastic.

”I’ve especially missed working with Shane [Richie]. He’s one of my best pals. I love him dearly – I think that’s why we bounce off each other so well on screen.

“I rang him nearly every day to check up on what was happening! I feel like Kat’s come back a lot stronger.”

And of how she’s feeling now she’s had a rest from the soap, she said, “Before [my] break, I had the baby swap story and towards the end of last year, Kat was becoming very downtrodden… Continue reading »

Plus Natalie Cassidy says “It’s upsetting to suddenly find horrid pictures” of herself on the net & new spoilers!

It’s been reported today that Joshua Pascoe has in fact been axed from EastEnders and his role as murderer Ben Mitchell.

The news comes after it was revealed that Joshua was arrested last week on suspicion of being involved in a sexual assault. He was bailed and told to present himself to Scotland Yard at an unspecified date in June for further questioning.

However, a show insider has denied that the incident has anything to do with Joshua being fired from the show.

A BBC spokesperson told the Daily Star on Sunday, “It will come as no surprise to the viewers of EastEnders that the character of Ben will be departing Walford when the truth finally emerges.”

And a show insider added, “Joshua was always going to leave at the end of his current contract due to his storyline.

“There was no way Ben could stay on the Square long-term after killing Heather. But how it all comes out is a closely guarded secret…” Continue reading »

Plus, Steve John Shepherd and Gillian Wright on the Michael and Jean storyline

85 year old June Brown, who plays iconic EastEnders character Dot Cotton, is to be the face of a new campaign that’s designed to improve the lives of the elderly.

Airing on BBC1 in the summer, the new show – which is entitled When I’m 65 – is also keen to encourage youngsters to be respectful of Britain’s pensioners.

Of it, June told What’s On TV, “I want to find out why older people are undervalued and ignored and what can be done to change the lives of millions.

“My own belief is that we must try and somehow reconnect the young and old before the gap between them grows so wide that it’s impossible to fix.”

June will be joined on the show by The Apprentice advisors Nick Hewer and Margaret Mountford who’ll investigate how pensioners are coping with the recession, which for many has meant they’ve had to come out of retirement to work again.

June is currently on a break from EastEnders, but it’s expected that she’ll return later this year.

In other Walford news, Steve John Shepherd has told Soaplife that Michael Moon’s prepared to do anything to marry Janine, but his motivation isn’t love! Continue reading »

Plus, writers worked with mental health charities on Ian’s breakdown, and Steve John Shepherd on Michael Moon’s latest wicked act!

Today is the day when Ian Beale and Mandy Salter are supposed to get married, but there are about a dozen great big black question marks hanging over the whole affair, not least of which being the question, ‘Has Ian totally lost the plot?’

Well, the answer to that would seem to be ‘yes’. He’s on the verge of bankruptcy, his brother Ben has confessed to him that he murdered Heather Trott, his daughter Lucy hates his fiancé Mandy, and Mandy has just lost her mum…

So to say omens for the big day are not good would be something of an understatement.

And tonight, things come to a terrible head when Lucy throws Mandy’s wedding ring down a grid, prompting Ian to scream at her that she has to give Mandy her mum Cindy’s wedding ring as a replacement… Continue reading »
