Mio Mao

The charming children’s series concludes this week. Mio and Mao are two lively, playful kittens rendered in plasticine animation. In ‘The Piano’ on Tuesday, Mio and Mao discover a piano that is playing a tune all by itself. Then they find a piano player hiding inside the piano. Can he teach the curious cats to play too?

The last episode of the current series is ‘The Dinosaur’ on Wednesday. Mio and Mao discover a baby dinosaur in the garden. When they tell him the garden does not belong to him, the dinosaur gets very cross and the kittens have to think of a way to cheer him up.

Wednesday’s episode is ‘The Theatre’, in which Mio and Mao discover a little theatre where someone is pulling the curtains back and forth. It turns out that the culprit is a clown wearing a colourful costume and mask. Will he let Mio and Mao join his show?

In Thursday’s episode, ‘The Tap’, the cuddly cats come across a tap dripping in the bathroom. When they try to turn the tap off, all the other taps in the bathroom start dripping too. Can the friends manage to stop the flood of water?

And rounding off the week’s capers on Friday is ‘The UFO’. The playful pussycats find a spaceship that has broken down in the garden. Inside the craft is an alien who looks very much like Mio and Mao. Can the kittens help their new friend get his ship working again?

And rounding off the week’s capers on Friday is ‘The Genie’. Mio and Mao discover a lamp making strange noises. When Mao rubs the lamp, a genie appears with a treat for the helpful kittens.

In Thursday’s episode, ‘The Goldfish’, Mio and Mao are playing pat-a-cake when they meet a very sad goldfish. Can the felines find a friend to keep the little fellow company?

And rounding off the week’s capers on Friday is ‘The Zebra’. Mio and Mao spot a black and white creature singing at the top of its voice. The curious cats are amazed to discover that it is a zebra with very wobbly legs.

In Thursday’s episode, ‘The Kingfisher’, Mio and Mao see something making the fish jump out of the water. It is a kingfisher busy catching fish for his tea!

And rounding off the week’s capers on Friday is ‘The Television’. Mio and Mao discover a television and start to change the channels. Along the way, they see scary monsters, noisy cowboys and a weather forecaster who keeps changing his mind about what the weather will be like!
