And Dominic Brunt on Marlon and Paddy’s bitter feud
We’ll begin today’s look at all things Emmerdale with actor Chris Chittell, who’s revealed to Soaplife that in a forthcoming episode of the soap, his character Eric Pollard will once again wind up alone after his lover Brenda Walker ends their relationship.
And she does so because she spots Eric and his estranged wife Val seemingly getting very cosy during an intimate moment, and believing the Eric still loves his wife, she dumps him. However, though Val’s been itching for an opportunity to get back with Eric, she realises she needs to take her time with him.
Soaplife kicked off the interview with Chris by asking him, “If Val hadn’t have left would Pollard ever have noticed Brenda?” to which he replied, “I don’t think so. Valerie pressed all the right buttons for him.
“She was a pain in the butt, but she had more pros to her than cons as far as Pollard was concerned.”
