Coming to an end this week is the current run of Noddy’s adventures in Toyland. This colourful animation refreshes Enid Blyton’s much-loved creation for a new generation of children to enjoy. ‘Noddy in Toyland’ embraces Blyton’s original vision of a place where toys have come to life. Every character, set and prop in this world is designed to look like a toy.

In this series, Noddy’s world has expanded to include outlying areas of Toy Town such as the harbour –where mermaids live and pirates sail – and the Enchanted Forest. There are a number of new developments in town such as Game Board Street, Dolls House Street and the race track.

In Saturday’s episode, ‘Dapple and the Dolls’, Dinah and the paper dolls set up a mini gymkhana for Dapple the horse. However, the goblins try to ruin everyone’s fun by taking bites out of all kinds of things and blaming Dapple. Will Noddy and his pals realise what’s going on?

The last episode of the series on Sunday is ‘Noddy and the Lost Teeth’. Toyland is invaded by hoards of chattering teeth that love having their picture taken! Later, Noddy finds a lonely set of gnashers in his car and tries to reunite the teeth with the others. Can Tessie and her camera help?

Sunday’s show is ‘A Babysitter for the Skittles’. Mr Wobbly Man looks after the little Skittles for a day but is not sure quite how to treat them. Things go well to begin with, until Mr Wobbly Man puts the children to bed – in the middle of the afternoon! Luckily, Noddy arrives and gives his quivery pal a few pointers…

They realise if they make him come to their treehouse to mend it, the task will keep him away from the race track where he is needed for an important race to start. Can Whiz fix the fun-ometer and make it to the track on time?

Sunday’s show is ‘Noddy and the Jigsaw’. A jigsaw piece turns up that does not fit into any of the games in Toy Town. When they find a map of the jigsaw with the pirates, Noddy and his friends dig up all the other pieces except one. But the pirates have the last segment – a golden piece of treasure! Will the pirates help Noddy finish the puzzle?

Sunday’s show is ‘Tessie’s Photo Fun’. Tessie wants to compile a photo album for Dinah’s birthday. She takes a photo of Noddy but her lens cap is on. Next she runs around trying to snap a photo of Noddy while he takes part in a car race with Jumbo. Can Tessie take the perfect shot?

Sunday’s show is ‘The Other Jelly Genius’. After a few jelly-making lessons, Whiz proves to be so talented that Mr Wobbly Man takes a holiday from the Jelly Bowl, leaving his young protege in charge. However, when Mr Wobbly Man returns, Whiz has taken all of his business! There is only room for one jelly genius in Toyland…

In Saturday’s episode, ‘Double Trouble’, Sly and Gobbo make clones of themselves using a ‘goblin doubler’ machine. With twice the number of goblins in Toyland, chaos ensues. However, Sly soon grows to resent his disruptive doppelganger and seeks Noddy’s help to restore order.

Sunday’s show is ‘Noddy and the Lighthouse’. Noddy, Tessie and Lindy are playing volleyball on the beach with the mermaids when a badly aimed ball breaks the bulb of the lighthouse! Can the friends find an alternative light source before the pirates run aground?

The cheeky imps swap Noddy’s crate of jelly mix for springs, then turn the police station pink while Noddy is painting it! However, whatever the goblins do, Noddy still manages to have all kinds of fun!

Sunday’s show is ‘Tessie and the Fairy Cakes’. Keen to beat Mr Wobbly Man in a baking contest, Tessie uses some of Lindy’s special fairy baking powder to make some cakes. However, pandemonium ensues when Bumpy accidentally knocks the whole bottle of powder into the cake mix, sending the unsuspecting judges floating into the air!

In Saturday’s episode, ‘Playtime Pirates’, the pirates come ashore because there is no wind to sail and they want to have fun. Playing cricket with Noddy and the Skittles keeps them occupied for a while, until they start burying the equipment. They cannot help themselves – burying things is what pirates do! But when the pirates disappear along with Tessie’s picnic hamper, Jumbo’s driving gloves and Mr Plod’s whistle, Noddy decides it is time to act…

Sunday’s show is ‘Mother’s Day for Mrs Skittle’. The Skittles have made a card for Mrs Skittle, but they want Noddy to help them make her a present. They try to make her a jelly, but the ingredients go everywhere and spill on the card! They then try posing in a pyramid shape for a special photograph, but they fall all over the place! Can Noddy help the Skittles give Mrs Skittle the present she deserves?

Sunday’s show, ‘The Enchanted Warbler’, sees Noddy and Mr Plod embark on an ornithological quest to locate the rare enchanted warbler. The pair think they are on the bird’s trail – until they realise that the goblins have been tricking them with a toy bird call! Will Noddy manage to track down the magical creature, or have the goblins thwarted his mission once again?

When Noddy catches up with the crafty imps, they have torn the dresses on prickly bushes. The skittles step in to repair the damaged garments, while Noddy comes up with a clever plan to teach the goblins a lesson…
