Lost “deleted” scene unveiled at Comic Con
Lost creators Damon Lindelof and Carlton Cuse unveiled a so-called “deleted” scene from the series at their Comic Con 2011 panel ‘Totally Lost: One Year Later’ this week. The clip was said to prove that the series was planned all along but in reality it was shot just a few weeks ago as a special treat for Comic Con attendees.
Royle Family Christmas special confirmed
Craig Cash has confirmed that there will be another Royle Family Christmas special later this year on BBC One. “We’re going to do another episode at Christmas. We think that the characters still have lots of mileage. They are very popular. And my wife wants a new kitchen,” he said.
Norton and Hammond land BBC America shows
Graham Norton and Richard Hammond have both secured TV shows on BBC America The pair will front their own shows with Norton shooting 13-part comedy gameshow in New York and Hammond travelling across the country driving unusual vehicles.
ITV renews drama series
ITV1 has renewed its popular drama series Vera, Scott & Bailey, Monroe and Case Sensitive. ITV’s director of drama commissioning Laura Mackie said: “We couldn’t be more delighted with the success of Vera, Case Sensitive, Monroe and Scott & Bailey. It’s terrific to think we are commissioning the most watched and appreciated original dramas for the ITV1 audience.”
Stelling may change mind over Countdown decision
Several reports are suggesting that John Stelling may change his mind about departing as host of Countdown. A production insider has claimed that Stelling is discussing staying on the series.
