Dietician Lucy Jones prescribes her cranberry juice along with dried cranberries and daily probiotic drinks as a preventative measure. Human rights lawyer Gozen, 25, from Enfield suffers from a chronic inflammatory skin disease. Terri, 73, suffers from a condition called erectile dysfunction. And Dr Pixie McKenna goes on the trail of a natural spice that could be a winner in the fight against flab.

The Food Hospital experts look at how monitoring our urine can reveal a lot about what is going on inside our bodies. Dr Pixie McKenna meets Dr Lynne Howells from Leicester University to look into claims that a spice used in our favourite curries – turmeric – may become an important weapon in the fight against bowel cancer. Visitors to The Food Hospital include Adam, a student suffering from very bad acne; Charlene, a healthcare worker who has an addiction to cola; and Ellie, who hasn’t had a good night’s sleep in nearly 30 years.

In the second episode, the experts try to solve the problem for parents who want their kids to eat their greens. Plus, first to be seen at The Food Hospital is wannabe footballer Ezra, 14 from Brixton who suffers from ADHD – Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder. The experts also meet Maryn, 30 from London, who has turned the normal five fruit and veg a day into 50 a day. And Jayne, 31 from Northumberland, suffers from Alopecia Universalis, which has left her with hardly a hair on her body.
