It’s time to polish the silverware and give a royal welcome to team eventing winner Zara Phillips and gold medalist boxer Anthony Joshua, who join forces in an attempt to claim a big win for their chosen charities. Davina will be guiding them through the drop and the eight questions that stand between them and a million pounds.

Olympians Zara Phillips and Anthony Joshua will appear on a charity edition of The Million Pound Drop this month.

The London 2012 athletes will be attempting raise money for their respective charities on the October 13 edition of the Channel 4 series.

Joshua claimed gold in boxing at the games earlier this year while Phiilips was a part of the silver medal-winning equestrian team. Continue reading »

Channel 4 announced today that The Million Pound Drop mobile app has now hit over 1 million downloads just 3 months after its launch.

The mobile app launched on iOS in May and on Android in July this year following the success of the UK’s most successful and award-winning play along show, The Million Pound Drop Live.

The free app allows viewers to play along with the show and has a Play Anytime game mode (on iOS), which users can pay to unlock, allowing them to play whenever they like. Continue reading »

We’ll begin today’s look at the world of reality TV with the sad news that Bo Bruce, who of course was a finalist on the BBC’s The Voice UK, is in mourning after her mother Rosamund passed away.

As Bo’s fans will know, throughout her appearances on The Voice, she was always haunted by the knowledge that her mum, who had pancreatic cancer, was nearing the end of her life, and she dedicated her cover version of Coldplay’s hit Charlie Brown to her stricken mother.

Yesterday, Bo wrote on Facebook, “Light a candle, thousands of us, light a candle,” and a message on behalf of the singer was posted on her official website thanking fans for their support.

Sue Barker’s new Go Compare TV advertisement has drawn 43 complaints from viewers, according to the Advertising Standards Authority. The ad features the presenter firing a rocket launcher at the brand’s opera singer Gio Compario.
