Billie Piper

The programme which won mum-of-one Billie Piper the Actress of the Year award at this year’s Glamour Awards is being made into a Hollywood movie.

The Secret Diary of a Call Girl has become a smash hit in the US after being shown on the HBO Channel. Piper is currently working on the fourth and final series of the show but now looks set for stardom stateside.

Piper spoke about the intended movie earlier this week, “I’m not sure it has legs past four seasons so we’re trying to develop a movie.”

The TV series is based on the real-life exploits of escort Belle de Jour and the movie promises to be even more raunchy than the TV series which features bondage and threesomes.

Hollywood bosses hope that the movie will surpass the success of the Sex And The City movies, the second of which has been met with critical reviews.
