The Truth About Street Weapons

Monday 30 June

Part of the Disarming Britain season. Chaired by Cherie Booth, the Street Weapons Commission investigates why, in some areas, so many young people now routinely carry guns and knives and what can be done to tackle the problem. The Commission comprises experts in youth policy, education, social entrepreneurship and policing, including Ian Levy, whose son was killed in a knife attack, and the former Chief Constable of West Midlands Police, Lord Geoffrey Dear. Tonight the Commission is in London to hear from those whose lives have been affected by gun and knife crime.
