Beyonce has unknowingly picked out former X Factor winner Joe McElderry to sing during one of her shows in Manchester.

The American singer directed her microphone at McElderry during part of her song ‘Love On Top’ with him contributing his own vocals.

She appeared pleasantly surprised by his ability to sing and offered the microphone to him again to sing more.

Some would say you’ve tasted success in the music industry when the teenage musical juggernaut that is Glee comes knocking at your door wanting to use your song.

For Little Mix, that time has come.

One of The Voice UK contestants has taken a pot shot at The X Factor, saying that his show is more credible.

Nate James believes that the BBC offering is a welcome addition to the UK scene.

“Since releasing my first record in 2005 the market, the industry in general, music, has changed a lot in this country… it’s not so much about whether you can sing or your connection with your audience; it’s about how you get the product, your album, to the audience,” he said.

I would suggest a number of people agree with Lewis Hamilton in saying that Nicole Scherzinger shouldn’t return to The X Factor this year.

The British Formula One driver has reportedly suggested to his partner that she shouldn’t return to the ITV series this season as a judge.

It seems Sharon Osbourne could well be back on our screens this year.

The former X Factor judge is said to be about to sign a deal to return to the show and in the process become the highest-paid judge in the show’s history.

The deal is said to be in the region of £2million.

Osbournewas last seen on the ITV series in 2007.

Changes in the audition process are afoot for the new season of The X Factor.

A new ‘double audition’ set-up will be in place where contestants will perform behind closed-doors for the judges before they enter the auditorium.

If the contestants make it past the judges in the more intimate setting, they will perform or the judges in front of a TV audience and the crowd in the arena.

Cowell has launched the YouTube channel, which is being billed as the world’s first global audition channel”, in the hopes of finding the next big thing when it comes to global talent.

Dannii Minogue looks to be making a return to The X Factor.

It is being reported that the 41-year-old has signed on as a judge on the Australian version of the talent series this year.

There is yet to be an official announcement regarding Minogue and the Aussie series but this could happen as early as this week.
