British athletes have enjoyed plenty of success in the triathlon this year. Alistair Brownlee won Olympic gold, his brother Jonathan claimed bronze and the pair have won three of the five World Series events so far.

In the women’s triathlon Swedish hopes will be pinned on Lisa Norden, who claimed Olympic silver in London after a thrilling photo-finish.

Sonali Shah introduces the best of the action and reaction from the third leg of the World Series in Madrid, as the 2012 Olympic Games draw ever closer.

Last year, Britain’s Alistair Brownlee captured his third straight title in Madrid while brother Jonathan joined him on the podium with silver – the first time they had both won a medal in a Triathlon World Series race. Alistair, the world champion, is likely to miss this event as he recovers from an Achilles injury, but Jonny should be among the leading contenders.

Britain will have a world champion on display, with Helen Jenkins hoping to improve on the second place she achieved last year in the Spanish capital.
