With no means to leave the area, and equipped with just a few supplies and her camera, she and her husband Scott taped their harrowing experiences as the storm raged and floodwaters filled their home and their community.

Their body parts are used by witchdoctors in potions and remedies, and are sold for thousands of dollars. Albino United tells the story of a Tanzanian football team made up of albinos, a group of young men with the ambition to prove to the country that they are able to take part in everyday society.

Michael Apted, director of the 7-Up TV series, Amazing Grace and Gorillas in the Mist , was the director of the official FIFA 2006 World Cup film, which follows, but also used his access to shoot this documentary. As well as following the qualification campaigns of South Africa, Iran and the USA, he looks at the difficulties Iranian women supporters face in watching matches live, how the legacy of apartheid still affects the sport in South Africa, this year’s World Cup hosts, and how the Americans are trying to overcome apathy to soccer at home.
