When Calvin lets Lauren down and fails to show up at The Loft to show her the ropes, Lauren invites Gaz along and the two of them begin to get into mischief as they get hold of Spencer’s credit card.

Ordering computer games online in the office, Lauren is caught in the act as Spencer comes into the room and spots that Lauren has his wallet; Lauren and Gaz make their excuses as they’re able to convince Spencer that they were planning to make an online donation for the Holly campaign.

Having enjoyed her day with Gaz, Lauren takes Gaz back to the Valentine house and the two of them head to Lauren’s bedroom.

Two of Corrie’s characters are set for love affair storylines in the coming weeks; Ciaran and Michelle are to get it together, and Audrey is destined to fall for escort Lewis.

Speaking at the Royal Television Society awards, Keith Duffy – who plays barman Ciaran – told the PA that his relationship with Michelle, "It's all a bit unwritten at the moment, it's still a bit of flirtatious movement going on - I believe down the road there's supposed to be some skin and hair flying."

And on the subject of how well he and Kym Marsh get on, Keith said, "Myself and Kym are always behind the bar together.

“We create our own fun behind the bar. We have a bit of craic and make each other laugh, and do the job when it needs to be done." But Keith said that he can’t see his character settling down.

Corrie actors on Jeremy Kyle tomorrow!

Oh Emm Geeee – tomorrow morning in a Jeremy Kyle special, Corrie characters David Platt, Nick Tilsley and Tina McIntyre are to star in a spoof episode of Kyle’s show.

The show is to mark the 1000th episode of Kyle’s show. So Ben Price, Jack P. Shepherd and Michelle Keegan will star as their Street characters in a showdown during which David is set to accuse Nick and his ex-girlfriend Tina of sleeping together.

And as often happens on the show, Kyle will order Nick and Tina to take a lie detector test.

As report by the PA states that as a row breaks out on stage, David’s mate Graeme – who’s in the audience – will be dragged into the affray.

When India invites Rhys to lunch, Rhys is feeling awkward in the knowledge that he was the one responsible for the crash that she blames Josh for.

As India insists that Rhys has lunch with her, Rhys agrees to do so and heads along to halls with India for some food.

As Rhys and India begin to get talking, it soon becomes clear that the two of them have feelings for each other and the two of them go to kiss.

Just as Rhys and India’s lips are about to meet, Josh enters with Dave and is quick to have a go at Rhys for what he’s doing.

Rhys attempts to explain the situation, Josh isn’t interested however and throws a punch at Rhys before leaving.

As Gilly and Jem continue to bond and seem great together, Steph is getting increasingly more jealous that Jem is now with the man that she loves.

Although feeling down, Steph is pleased when Darren finds out that Gilly never got Steph’s love letter, and Steph therefore feels a little less rejected by Gilly as she realises that he hasn’t just ignored her letter, he never actually received it.

Hoping to cheer Cindy up a bit, with the help and encouragement of Jem, Tom writes Cindy a mother’s day card, informing her that until Holly gets back he will be there for her whenever she wants to do parent and child bonding activities.

Corrie actress Sue Nicholls has told Digital Spy that she’s “pleased” to see her on-screen grandson David Platt supporting his mother through her ordeal as she’s accused of Joe’s murder.

Sue, who of course plays Gail's mum, Audrey Roberts, told DS, "I'm still a bit stunned both as Audrey and as Sue Nicholls…

“It's a good swap-around. Nobody would have thought of it. I'm surprised both as a viewer and his grandma."

Sue added that she really enjoys working with Jack P. Shepherd who plays the usually troublesome teen David.

She said, "I do love him - he's a splendid actor and I do love having scenes with him. I hope he does with me. We do laugh a lot despite everything.

"I'm always saying, 'Oh, David!' a bit like Posh Spice! I like the relationship we have. I have met people who have a better relationship with grandparents, in a funny way.

Natalie Cassidy announces pregnancy

Ex-EastEnders star Natalie Cassidy – who played Sonia Fowler – has revealed that she’s expecting her first baby.

Natalie happily announced that she’s 12 weeks pregnant and said that she and partner Adam Cottrell were “delighted” with the news.

Natalie and Adam have been together for just nine months, and in an interview with OK magazine, Natalie said, "We haven't really gone public with our relationship, so I guess this will seem a bit sudden to some people.

“But it was a whirlwind romance for us too, I guess. We feel like we've known each other forever."

Natalie suffers from PCOS – polycystic ovary syndrome – and told the magazine that she had expected to find it difficult to become pregnant.

She said, "I'm keeping my fingers crossed that Adam will propose to me before the baby is born.

Emmerdale Cast News

There was media speculation yesterday that Emmerdale bosses were planning to have a new family join the show later this year. Some media described the new family as “loutish lottery winners”, however, the show’s bosses have denied it.

One of the UK newpapers reported that the storyline would involve fictitious EuroMillions lotto winners who would cause mayhem in the village and make themselves lots of enemies with their thuggish behaviour.

However, an Emmerdale spokesperson has told Digital Spy that, "There is no truth in this story whatsoever."

Time will tell on that one I guess!

In other show news, Danny Miller, who of course plays Aaron Livesy, has described his character’s confused sexuality storyline as being “a big responsibility.”

And next week, we’ll see Danny breakdown after angrily admitting that he’s gay to Paddy.

Coronation Street actress Michelle Keegan has told We Love Telly magazine that her character Tina is going to get a new ‘love interest’ in upcoming storylines.

And though Tina wouldn’t reveal who the new lover is, she said that viewers will be “surprised” when they learn his identity…

Tina said, "There are plans for a new relationship, but it comes right out of left field and won't be like any she's had before.

“I'm looking forward to playing that!"

In a recent interview with Digital Spy, Michelle hinted that her character’s relationship with Jason Grimshaw could break down as she deals with the stress of grieving for her father.

During that interview, Michelle said, "Jason just isn't good for Tina at the minute. Jason thinks that Tina should get over Joe's death and move on with her life but Tina can't do that.

Alex Carter's move to Hollyoaks

It seems that ex-Emmerdale star Alex Carter – who played Jamie in the show – is taking on a new role in Hollyoaks.

Digital Spy revealed their exclusive story this morning and their soaps editor, Kris Green, wrote that 27 year old Alex has scooped a six month contract with the show, thanks to new producer, Paul Marquess.

Alex will be reprising his role as Lee Hunter in Hollyoaks. He previously starred in the show for four years but left in 2005.

A show source is quoted on Digital Spy’s website as saying, "It's no secret that Hollyoaks isn't on top form but Paul's decision to bring Alex back into the fold shows that he's committed to taking it back to its best.

“He wasn't really used at Emmerdale but that'll change here.

According to The Sun today, the cheating – and now dumped – Ashley Cole begged X Factor judge Cheryl to put off their separation until after the World Cup.

The paper states that Cheryl’s response to his selfish request was to “explode with rage” as she told him where he could put his plea…

A source said to be close to Cheryl said, "Cheryl hit the roof. She flew off the handle and he knew instantly he'd said the wrong thing once again."

Wow… what a tool.

In other X Factor news, it seems that the positively edible Dermot O’Leary may be set to host the US version of the show.

Josh is feeling a bit down in the dumps, as he’s due to attend his first alcohol awareness meeting today though, Rhys offers to go along with him to offer support.

Josh is pleased that Rhys is willing to support him, when a reporter from the local paper shows up with India though, Rhys is convinced to give an interview for the paper and Josh is forced to head along to the meeting alone.

Back in the village after attending his meeting, Josh has been drinking and isn’t at all impressed to see the journalist taking pictures of Rhys for the paper.

Picking up the camera, Josh begins to take pictures of himself before dropping the camera on the floor and breaking it.

BBC One Follows The Yellow Brick Road, With Over The Rainbow

Following the success of How Do You Solve A Problem Like Maria?, Any Dream Will Do and I'd Do Anything, Over The Rainbow reunites host Graham Norton and Andrew Lloyd Webber, who, along with a brand new panel of experts (Sheila Hancock, Charlotte Church and John Partridge) and BBC One viewers, will choose a Dorothy to perform in the West End production of The Wizard Of Oz next year. The show transmits with a weekend special on Friday 26 and Saturday 27 March, then the live studio shows start on Saturday 3 April (time tbc).

Viewers will see thousands of hopefuls turning up at open auditions across the country in Friday night's show, in a bid to become the newest star of the West End.

As the selection process continues, Saturday's show will showcase the final 20 "Dorothys" in a studio-based "sing-off"' – judged by the panel and Andrew, who will make a selection down to 10 girls.

In response to rumours and press speculation that ex-Corrie favourite Julie Goodyear – who played Bet Lynch for 25 years – will return for the show’s 50th anniversary, ITV has announced that it has “no plans” to reinstate the role of Bet.

However, a report in the News of the World states that Corrie’s new boss, Phil Collinson, does want Julie back to temporarily reprise the character.

The paper also reports that he’s hoping to bring back Curly Watts who was played by Kevin Kennedy, as well as Sherie Hewson and Richard Fleeshman who played Maureen Naylor and Craig Harris respectively.

A show insider is quoted in the paper as saying, "Phil feels viewers have been turning off because the show has become a teen soap, like Hollyoaks.

Hollyoaks Cast News

Sheree Murphy has revealed that she thinks the cast cuts made by new show producer Paul Marquess will be good for the show.

She told the PA, "I think they're making big changes which is probably a good thing, a positive thing.

"So it's nice to be part of the show when they're revamping it, [making it] kind of fresher, all that kind of stuff."

However, Sheree added that in particular, Ricky Whittle will be “missed” when he leave the show.

And he himself has admitted that when it’s time for him to leave, he’ll probably have “tears” because his time on the show has been “a great time.”

Ricky, who of course plays ex-cop Calvin Valentine, will leave the show later this year when his character will be shot dead at his wedding to Carmel McQueen.
