Five’s consumer technology show, presented by
Jason Bradbury, Suzi Perry and Jon Bentley,
continues. In this instalment, Suzi and Jason shop
until they drop to see who can buy the most
gadgets for £1,000; while Jon Bentley hits the
Alps with champion skier Graham Bell to test
some hi-tech skiing jackets. Also featured is a look
at whether the gadget revolution has passed
insurance companies by, and a survey of the top
five laptop bags available.
Now in its eighth series, the Gadget Show
continues to road-test the latest consumer
technology using a number of exciting and
entertaining challenges, explosive stunts and nailbiting
races. The shows also include trustworthy
reviews and buyers’ guides featuring in-depth
examinations of the latest gadgetry on the market.
This week’s programme sees Suzi and Jason
hitting the shops with a whole grand in their
pockets –with the challenge to see who can buy
the most gadgets with the cash. But there is a twist:
Suzi is purchasing brand new gizmos, while Jason
is buying second-hand items. Who will triumph?
Jon, meanwhile, takes to the slopes of the Italian
Alps with champion skier Graham Bell. But Jason
and Graham are not here just for a holiday: they will
be testing some skiing jackets which can do more
than just protect skiers from the elements. These
amazing, hi-tech garments are wired to enable
skiers to listen to their MP3 players, and even
answer their phones while speeding downhill!
This week’s show also features an investigation
into whether the whole gadget revolution has
passed the big insurance companies by. Is all the
gadgetry consumers have at home properly,
adequately and reasonably insured?
Finally, the team examine the top five laptop
bags on the market, undertaking a series of
simple tests to assess which bag is best at
keeping its precious cargo safe and dry.
