Five’s consumer technology show continues its ninth series, with Dallas Campbell joining regular presenters Jason Bradbury, Suzi Perry and Jon Bentley. In this week’s edition, Jason, Dallas and Jon head to the countryside to test a range of outdoor gadgets. They drive off-road vehicles including quad bikes and go-carts, try out the best in binoculars and put a pair of laptops through their paces. Elsewhere, Suzi gets to grips with frisbees and Jon hunts down the best mobile phone deals available.

This week’s Gadget Show hits the great outdoors as the fearless team heads to the countryside. Jason, Dallas and Jon are in the mood to test the best country-orientated gadgets they can find – starting with personal transport.

The boys’ first mission is to get behind the wheel of the very latest in motorised off-road transport, including two quad bikes, a motorised go-cart and a six-wheeled off-road vehicle.

After bouncing around on dirt tracks and fields, the intrepid presenters try their hands at a more sedate challenge by testing the most advanced binoculars on the market. They try out the gadgets’ focusing speed, optics and stabilisation mechanisms to find out which model offers the steadiest view.

Finally, for those who cannot bear to be separated from the outside world for too long, Jason and Jon go-head-to-head with two of the toughest laptops around and test them to the point of destruction. Which one is best cut out for life on the farm?
