Thomas & Friends Series Premiere

Weekdays at 8.25am

The ever-popular children’s animation returns to Milkshake! this week for a new run of railway adventures. Celebrating the show’s 65th anniversary, this brand new series is wholly produced in CGI, bringing a fresh, modern look to Sodor and giving the characters greater freedom to move.

The brand new series of ‘Thomas & Friends’ features a number of new characters. Victor is the manager of the Sodor steam works. He is a very busy engine, but has a heart of gold and a good sense of humour. Kevin is a friendly crane who works with Victor at the steam works. While he may be inexperienced, he’s always ready to lend a helping hook. Hiro, meanwhile, was the first steam engine to arrive on the island. Originally known as the Master of the Railway, Hiro is one of the oldest and strongest engines on Sodor.

In ‘Creaky Cranky’ on Monday, it is the day of the spring party at the Duke and Duchess of Boxford’s summer house. As the engines make the necessary preparations, Cranky teases Thomas, saying he can only carry light loads...

‘The Lion of Sodor’ on Tuesday sees Thomas given the job of transporting a very special statue. However, Thomas thinks his cargo is a real lion and attempts to feed it all kinds of food!

Wednesday’s episode is ‘Tickled Pink’. Whilst covered in a pink undercoat, James is asked to pick up the Fat Controller’s granddaughter, but the proud engine is worried his friends will tease him!

In ‘Double Trouble’ on Thursday, Thomas is sent to pick up the Fat Controller to take him to a birthday party. However, when he arrives at the station, the Fat Controller seems to have been replaced by a mischievous impostor...

The week’s final instalment is ‘Slippy Sodor’ on Friday. Thomas discovers he has something of a knack for comedy when an assignment to collect a cargo of bubbles goes awry.
